14 Things We Learned From Eric Bischoff On Legends With JBL (Part 2)

5. Vince Russo

Bischoff was replaced by Vince Russo, who jumped from WWE to WCW in October 1999. JBL laughs and brings up how people thought Russo was a plant sent by Vince McMahon to destroy WCW from within because he was just that bad. Bischoff said he was even worse than that and JBL brings up some Russo nonsense like Judy Bagwell. Bischoff says it was horrible working with him (he was brought back in April 2000) but that many within Turner Broadcasting thought that Russo was the saviour, the guy responsible for WWE's enormous success. Importantly, Russo himself believed it. Bischoff calls him a good salesman and that he wanted to like him but that he was an 'unmitigated disaster'. Russo had tried to jump to WCW a year earlier and Bischoff talked with him (a phone conversation set up by Kevin Nash).
