14 Things We Learned From Eric Bischoff On Legends With JBL (Part 2)
8. Challenging Vince To A Fight
While they're talking about the improbability of a WCW versus WWE 'gang fight', JBL does mention that Vince was actually going to show up to Bischoff's challenge for Slamboree 1998. Apparently those with cooler heads had to beg Vince not to go, despite Vince being set on showing up. Bischoff also had people worried and telling him that Vince would show up but Bischoff didn't care. He thought that the worst thing that could happen was that he'd get his ass kicked, something which he'd had happen to him plenty of times before for free. At least this time, it would make WCW a tonne of money. Eric did box, wrestle in high school and college and was a black belt, but people still seem to think that Vince would have wiped the floor with him. Vince McMahon, the same guy who is so uncoordinated that he blew out his quad sliding into the ring (then blew out the other one refusing help to his car because he was too stubborn/proud). Either way, the Bischoff/McMahon 'match' comes across as a cheap publicity stunt.
