The last few months of 2013 were weird in WWE. Fan attention had shifted to embrace newer headline stars like Daniel Bryan, and yet WWE themselves seemed keen to cling onto the done-to-death rivalry between John Cena and Randy Orton. Match quality wasn't the issue. The problem instead being fan boredom with Cena vs. Orton.

TLC 2013 was supposed to be a landmark moment for the promotion. Kissing goodbye to the World Heavyweight Title as a standalone belt, the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship would unify both major straps into one. Orton was the one picked to win, which meant another clean loss for Cena.

Taking a nasty bump through one of the tables involved in the TLC bout, Cena was written to stir just as Orton pulled down the prize from atop a ladder. Again, this is one worth watching that doesn't get a lot of love, most likely due to fans feeling tired of a feud that seemed never-ending.
