7. Justin Gabriel (Raw - 30 August 2010)

Remember when WWE's creative team ruined The Nexus by making them look inferior next to John Cena? By the end of 2010, the invading group of NXT 'rookies' were just another failed experiment. That's a shame considering how shocking it was when lowly Justin Gabriel pinned Cena twice on Raw in July and August.

The first one came in a 6-on-1 Handicap Match, so it's hardly monumental, but the second happened during a 10-man elimination style tag match on 30 August. Although too little and too late for The Nexus (the faction had already been made to look second rate a few weeks earlier at SummerSlam), this was a massive moment for Gabriel.

Just after Cena had made David Otunga tap to the STF, Gabriel came off the top rope with a 450 Splash and pinned John. Nexus still didn't end up winning the match, but Justin Gabriel looked strong by beating Cena all on his own.

Cena must have liked the guy or something.
