14 Ups & 14 Downs For WWE In 2018

7. Drew McIntyre's Second Chance

Making just about everything count in large amounts in 2018, the former 'Chosen One' was actually booked like he mattered following his post-WrestleMania NXT call-up, and may yet prove to be the best graduate from the developmental brand since its 2012 reimagining.

Drew's intolerance for today's roster has underpinned his aggression. Initially the muscle behind mouthy partner Dolph Ziggler, McIntyre's since forged a path alone as one of Raw's key players at a crucial time of year.

Though it seems likely he'll just miss out on a massive spot on 'The Grandest Stage' in 2019, that he's even still in the conversation nearly a full year after his redebut puts him beyond many of his peers. He thank himself as well as the booking for clinging on in increasingly fragile creative times.
