14 Ups & 14 Downs For WWE In 2018

9. Slight Return

WWE

More on Daniel Bryan's last two months of 2018 later, but the rest of his year was just another from WWE's catalogue of catastrophes.

The biggest organic babyface return in years was diluted first by Shane McMahon's ego when 'The Money' gobbled up the bulk of their WrestleMania tag team match, but things went from Big to bad to worse after Bryan cycled through a crap programme with Cass, a hellish reunion with Kane and a nightmarish realisation of a "dream" feud with The Miz.

It's little wonder the 'YES!' man was apparently only too happy to step over to the dark side, and even less surprising that his recent switch has already yielded the best work of his new run.
