14 Ups & 3 Downs From NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard

1. The Beautiful People's Ugly Debut

The Klein/Iwatani post-match saw a surprise appearance from Velvet Sky and Angelina Love, AKA TNA's Beautiful People, who battered the new Women Of Honor Champion, joining forces with WOH stalwart Mandy Leon in the process.

Imagine how you'd feel if someone took a dump on your mother's chest. That's how this angle went down in MSG.

A complete misread of what the fans wanted from this show, it was a grim angle that prompted hundreds upon hundreds to bury themselves further in their phones or head for the toilet. Nobody cared - nobody - and given that ROH turning down a Beautiful People reunion in the promotion was reportedly part of why Madison Rayne left the company, it's hard to understand why they went ahead with it.

The three segments we've listed as Downs came one after the other, albeit not in the specific order listed here. At this point, it looked like ROH were on the verge of dragging down an awesome NJPW show. They didn't, thank God, but they came close.
