6. Jacques Rougeau

In one of the most odd match results you'll ever read, stripped of context, on April 11, 1997, Hulk Hogan, at the peak of his drawing powers as a heel, did a job to Jacques Rougeau.

Jacques Rougeau?!

Hollywood Hogan, in their only singles meeting, did a job to the f*ckin' Mountie in 1997?!

Indeed he did, but context is important. Rougeau actually promoted the show, and executed a quite phenomenal job of it. He managed to drum up an unprecedented level of publicity (thanks, allegedly, to his relentless and shameless carnying). He drew a very respectable crowd to what is now known as the Bell Center, but that doesn't quite explain the result.

So what does?

Well, Hogan himself explained to Slam Wrestling years later, in 2014, that Jacques was a great man who was trying to build the business in Montreal. That seems rather too charitable, no? For Hulk Hogan?

The rumour and innuendo suggests that Jacques slipped Hogan a handsome wad of cash - or that Hogan did it to annoy Eric Bischoff after a falling out.

No matter the reason, he really does always get his man.
