14 WWE WrestleMania 34 Impulse Reactions

1. Blood Money

Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns lost to Brock Lesnar in depressingly comical fashion. He took so many F5's from 'The Beast' that the concept of a finishing move lost all meaning. Lesnar screamed has he delivered them, seemingly instructing the audience to do the same even though he could allegedly see a slew of beachballs and bored faces looking back at him.

Reigns and Lesnar weren't doing anything outwardly bad, nor was the contest stretching beyond either's comfort zone. That was until one of them nearly bled out. Lesnar's frustration and Roman's tenacity at least justified his hardway gashing of 'The Big Dog's dome, but red barely had time to equal green before Brock finally did the necessary and hit his match-winning sixth finisher.

One had to wonder how Roman felt as Lesnar dragged a jagged arm across his head for the instructed gash. Claret flooded from his most vital component at such a pace that both were doused in platefuls of platelets, shortly before he made absolutely no comeback and finally ate a pinfall.

Stone Cold Steve Austin gutting his way through the Sharpshooter against Bret Hart, this was not. This wasn't even a near-dead Stone Cold Steve Austin retiring against The Rock, in truth. The Roman Empire yet again looks in a state of ruin.
