The New Day's cavalcade of human pancakes was an unfortunate return to a stifled part of WrestleMania history in which Vince McMahon p*ssed himself at the mere sight of those shorter than him, but it ultimately served as the only memorable moment in a deserved (yet extraordinarily high profile) night off for Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and The Usos.

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan should probably use those f*cking massive hammers to smash up a rocking chair or two in a symbolic wrecking of their past lives - less than a year away from the clutches of Bray Wyatt and the pair are winning tag team titles on the biggest show of the year. The match was nothing to write home about (and thus won't be featured in this piece), but the squash was a necessary evil to reboot the tired doubles division on the blue brand.

Wrestling's a funny old game. The Usos/New Day feud was SmackDown Live!'s best of the year in 2017. Their reward in 2018 was time together on the industry's grandest stage where defeat was humbling and headlines were robbed by miniature pancake folk. That's (Sports) Entertainment!
