14 WWE Wrestlers Who Defied Gravity Before Neville
7. Rob Van Dam
Rob Van Dam is a legendary Superstar of both ECW and WWE, but it was with the former that RVD really cut his teeth as a high-flying competitor. He was the innovator of the move that came to be known as Shane McMahon's 'Coast to Coast' and he performed one of the most awe-inspiring examples of a frog-splash in the game. No wonder it had five stars. Van Dam's offence was certainly different. He - like Ricky Steamboat and others before him - brought his martial arts abilities into his attack, and it certainly made for an intriguing watch. But RVD used the air to inflict that extra little bit of damage and it took him a bloody long way. RVD won multiple belts in both promotions, including the main championship belts. Though admittedly RVD captured the ECW Championship in it's second carnation by WWE - which was an extremely crappy version of the brand to say the least. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWqy72ufuMQ
