2. The Rock?
The Rock deserves a question mark in his placement on this list, but given the fan feeling that he's all about the money, he absolutely needs to feature and be discussed. He left the WWE when still in his absolute prime, after a phenomenally successful three years as a main event star. He'd had a ton of passion when first breaking in, but it looked to fans like he only cared about the money when he left wrestling for Hollywood in 2002. Except, what was he meant to do? Hollywood came calling and the money was great, way more than WWE could ever pay him. He would have been an idiot to stay with pro wrestling. You can't blame him for chasing the acting dream and the promises of riches that came with it. He has since returned to WWE for major matches with John Cena and CM Punk, but again, the accusation has been made that this was just about wanting a huge pay day. He easily earned Brock Lesnar style money for his WrestleMania matches with Cena.
