Setting aside a number of title changes throughout the 1960s and 1970s that have been stricken from the record, the Fabulous Moolah had officially held the WWF Women’s Title three times before losing it to Sherri Martel in July 1987. With her career seemingly over, Moolah was inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame in 1995, but a comeback to the Federation in 1999 would lead to the former champion making history again.

Though much more famous for her 38-year title reign, Moolah also set a record by defeating Ivory for the Women’s Title at No Mercy in October 1999. In doing so, Lillian Ellison not only became the Federation’s oldest title-holder at age 76, but also achieved what was then the biggest comeback in WWF championship history.
