7. Kenta Kobashi Vs. KENTA (March 5th, 2006)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6--0ToUucAQ This is what you get when the student meets the teacher. When NOAH was formed, Kobashi took several rookies under his wing and helped build them into bigger stars. One of these was Kenta Kobayashi, who earned a reputation as a stiff striker with a kickboxing background. This match demonstrated why both men are so dangerous. He kicks Kobashis head as if it were a football, to which Kobashi responds by delivering a devastating Half-Nelson Suplex onto KENTAs head and chops KENTA right in the nose. As the match goes on, both men deliver painful strikes, with KETNA delivering some of the stiffest kicks and knees that youll ever see him do. That said, Kobashi keeps getting up, digging into his bottomless well of Burning Spirit, and manages to demonstrate just why hes considered one of the most unstoppable wrestlers in history. By this point hes more of a legend that someone around whom you could build the company, and he does everything within his power to make KENTA look like a million dollars. Even though he was so small, and he had a huge size disadvantage over his mentor, KENTA simply did not give up, and performed like the cocky rookie who thought he was the best in the world. That helped elevate his career, and through his hard work, he certainly earned the respect of his peers and fans worldwide.
