8. Kenta Kobashi Vs. Kensuke Sasaki NOAH Destiny 2005
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETLHSwJf7Sk Have you ever wondered how long two wrestlers can chop one another without giving up? Look no further, because this stellar match answers that question. Kenta Kobashi and Kensuke Sasaki, two notorious strong men, spend over four-and-a-half minutes chopping each other back and forth. This keeps going until both mens chests and collars start turning purple. In the end, they exchanged a staggering 168 chops between them during that one extended chop battle. From bell to bell, this match was absolutely intense. Both wrestlers were evenly matched throughout the contest, as every near-fall belt believable as a possible match-ender. The match had so many insane spots and even more dramatic signature move no-sells that presented both men as near-indestructible. Thats the most important aspect of this match: even though these men had never faced off before, neither one had a true advantage over the other, so the match was virtually even. Tokyo Sports called this the 2005 Match of the Year. Considering how good the wrestling in 2005 was for NOAH, that makes this a cant-miss match.
