15 Best Instrumental Entrance Themes In WWE History
2. The Brood (Blood)
The Brood’s entrance still stands as one of the greatest of all time and this theme plays a huge part in that accolade. Seemingly rising from Hell itself, the group would walk down the aisle to the head bobbing drum beat and sharp, repeating melody.
WWE composer Jim Johnston has stated that this is one of the themes he is most proud of despite the fact that it took very little time to come up with. The fuzzy guitar tone came about by simply experimenting with the frequency and there have even been conflicting stories about the eerie breathing at the beginning of the track. Some argue that when played in reverse it reveals the words “I’m ready” whilst others claim that it's actually a dark Easter egg referencing the urban legend that Paul McCartney died in 1966 and was replaced in the Beatles. The words “I buried Paul” are clearly audible and add an interesting extra layer to this amazing theme.
