The Boogeyman is a rare Ruthless Aggression era flashback that was announced via image render at SDCC 2016.

Mattel has made a huge amount of different superstars from various eras ever since acquiring the WWE license some six and a half years ago. The periods have ranged from the Hulkamania/Golden Age of WWE to the Attitude Era and nearly everyone from Bruno Sammartino through John Cena have been created in plastic form.

The one time period that hasn't seen as many flashbacks as the Attitude Era or the Hulkamania era is that period of time that came from 2002-2008, most commonly referred to as the Ruthless Aggression era. With The Boogeyman finally being announced, that should fill a void for many of the younger fans of the flashback figures.

The Boogeyman just screams "made to be an action figure" from the moment you look at him. The final product is sure to be a great looking figure and should even come with his signature staff and clock. This figure has been scheduled to be a part of the Elite 48 series which means it's not hitting store shelves until sometime in 2017, most likely the first quarter.
