Nobody would have begrudged Bret Hart if he never stepped foot inside a WWE ring again after the Montreal Screwjob, the death of his brother Own and the constant shots that WWE had taken at him and his family in the years since his departure. Bret accepted an offer of a DVD bio and a Hall of Fame induction in 2006 but refused to make an appearance at WrestleMania 22 and had turned down several invitations to appear at the live crowd in the years after. Hart had claimed that it would be too emotionally exhausting and he didn't think he would do a good job of it. Come 2010, however, and Hart felt he was ready to step out onto the Raw stage. Hart's appearance on January 4th, 2010 was his first live appearance on Raw for over twelve years. He thanked the fans and talked about his career before addressing Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon. Michaels and Hart called a truce, shook hands and eventually hugged. It was a touching moment, one that many fans couldn't believe they were witnessing. Vince, on the other hand, kicked The Hitman in the balls. Oh well. That was a major moment in and of itself but the reconciliation with Michaels was the true highlight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGBVmmOpgxU
