15 Best WWE Moments Of The Decade (So Far)

11. Mark Henry's Retirement Swerve - Raw June 17th 2013

Mark Henry had to rank as one of WWE's biggest ever disappointments before he miraculously came into his own in 2011. The company signed Henry back in 1996 to a ten year, big-money contract. It was a decision that they would come to regret. Henry, who was genuinely the World's Strongest Man and a powerlifting champion, showed hardly any aptitude for professional wrestling. After a promising spell in the black power stable The Nation of Domination, the WWF decided to punish him with a series of ridiculous and almost career-killing gimmicks. Then in 2000 he was sent to OVW to improve his conditioning and upon his return he was either injured or doing a whole lot of nothing. Henry floundered for most of the decade. Then, in 2011, he had an attitude change. Short on main event talent, the WWE decided to go for it with Henry. And Henry knocked it out of the park as a no-nonsense a**-kicker. Henry had hard-hitting matches with the likes of Sheamus, Randy Orton and The Big Show, capturing the World Heavyweight Championship in the process. The high point of Henry's career rebirth was undoubtedly the emotional (fake) retirement speech and turn on John Cena. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfMI9j8WwFE
