13. Rey Mysterio vs. John Morrison - September 4, 2009
John Morrison got his start in WWE as a member of the MNM group. Together with Joey Mercury, the then-Johnny Nitro was able to become a multiple-time Tag Team Champion. However, it was during his time with the ECW brand that Morrison established himself as a force in WWE. Following his reign as ECW Champion, John Morrison was brought back to the Smackdown brand. Rey and Morrison put on a thrilling bout that had fans on the edge of their seats. At the end of the contest, Mysterio seemed to have victory in his grasp. However, after a failed top rope hurricanrana, Morrison was able to deliver his Starship Pain finishing maneuver to secure the win and the Intercontinental Championship.
