15 Big Talking Points You Need To Hear From Survivor Series 2014

2. Sting

The huge moment of the night (arguably what the whole thing was built around) was Sting's WWE debut. Fears that he'd get a quiet reaction were unfounded. The crowd popped big and everyone knew who he was. There were loud "this is awesome" chants as he circled Triple H before hitting his signature move. He made the save for Ziggler and helped Team Cena defeat Team Authority. That means no more Stephanie and Hunter on their heel power trip. It was a genuinely feel good moment. It was amazing to see this WCW Icon in the WWE ring. It made up for what was an otherwise poor show. Sting did look old, his hair in particular was terrible. But forget it, this is Sting in WWE and that's fantastic to see. It now looks like Sting Vs Triple H at WrestleMania 31. That should be a good match, as Hunter can carry the action. There's an element of ego in Hunter booking himself against such an icon, but you've got to say this booking made sense. You have a legend vs legend and the heel / face dynamics fit perfectly.
