It appears the 'five loss club' is the new in-thing, because we’ve got our third member joining the ranks in the form of Rey Mysterio.

Rey’s first taste of the PPV ended with one of his five defeats, in singles action against Kurt Angle in 2002, before he teamed with Billy Kidman and Paul London in a losing effort to Bubba Ray, D-Von and Spike Dudley in 2004. Further defeats were chalked up in 2006 against Chavo Guerrero, in 2010 against Kane for the World Heavyweight Title, and in 2012 versus the Miz with Intercontinental gold up for grabs.

Seems like Rey could have had quite the title haul if he’d pulled his finger out at SummerSlam...

That being said, though, he did successfully defend that IC title against Dolph Ziggler in 2009 and he got his win back against Chavo in 2007, two years after he’d defeated Eddie in a Ladder match for the custody of his son Dominic.

And even within the confines of professional wrestling, I guess retaining the rights to see your son is more important than retaining or winning any kind of championship.
