15. Invasion 2001, 770,000 Buys
The only none-WrestleMania event which is going to feature on this list, Invasion 2001 had the big attraction of finally seeing WCW vs WWF. That selling point was huge and it made Invasion the greatest 'B Show' in the history of Vince McMahon's promoting efforts. The sad thing is, the creative wasn't even that good, just imagine the number WWE could have drawn if they actually had been firing on all cylinders. The main event was team WWF vs Team WCW / ECW and it culminated in Steve Austin screwing the Federation over to side with WCW after hitting a stunner on Kurt Angle. It was really nothing special and the whole WCW storyline had fizzled out just a short time later. It seemed as if Vince McMahon didn't care about the brand value, all he wanted to do was have the WCW talent destroyed by the WWF guys on TV. Some say the errors around Invasion are what really killed the popularity of wrestling, a B level show never did a number like 770,000 buys again.
