15 Biggest WWE Pay Per View Buyrates Of All Time

14. WrestleMania 15, 800,000 Buys

Booked as "the ragin' climax", WrestleMania 15 came right in the middle of the popular Attitude Era. The main event of Austin vs Rock speaks for itself, two of the greatest WWF names ever squaring off against each other, it really isn't surprising that the March 1999 event did 800,000 buys - in fact you might have expected it to do more. The undercard tells a story too, it shows the depth of the roster Vince McMahon was spoiled with in this period. Just take a look at the event poster: Triple H, Chyna, DX, Kane, Ken Shamrock, Sable and of course The Undertaker. It was Undertaker's Hell in a Cell match against Big Bossman which would end up becoming one of the big talking points of the show. After winning the match Taker tied Bossman in a noose and 'hanged' him from the elevated cell. The implication that Undertaker had killed someone was a bit much even by the late 90's standards.
