15 Biggest WWE Pay Per View Buyrates Of All Time

13. WrestleMania 2000, 824,000 Buys

By the time WrestleMania 2000 rolled around, the WWF's star power was fully developed. Triple H went into the main event as Champion, defending against the biggest star of the time The Rock and the hugely popular Mick Foley... plus The Big Show who was less so a draw! The added stipulation of that main event was a 'McMahon in every corner', which given how much of a soap opera WWF had became, added considerable extra interest to the card. It ended up doing 824,000 buys which reflects the popularity of wrestling at the time. Unfortunately Steve Austin was out injured and unable to wrestle on the show, but we did get an epic ladder match in The Hardys vs Edge and Christian vs The Dudleys. The card was the third consecutive year the WWF had topped the previous Mania draw and the depth of the roster undoubtedly helped in that. The main credit for the buyrate has to go to Triple H and The Rock who were both mega hot at the time as well as the McMahon family themselves.
