Paul London was unhappy with his situation in WWE in 2005. He was a talented wrestler and had decent matches, but he didn't have any storyline or real character development. He was filler, basically. London was out to prove a point. Unfortunately for him, there were several credibility-damaging incidents.

One of which took place on a April 25th house show in Cardiff, Wales. During the opening Cruiserweight Championship battle royal, London accidentally eliminated himself mid-match. Considering he was Champion and this was a house show, London was supposed to win the thing. Oops. Calling an audible, Billy Kidman and Chavo Guerrero performed a simultaneous elimination later on to declare the match a no contest.

So they restarted it, which was all well and good, except that London re-entered the match, too, despite having been eliminated earlier on. It didn't make a lot of sense and fans were confused. And wouldn't you know it? London eliminated Kidman and Chavo to win the match upon the restart.
