Who's Involved: Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Rick Rude and Cheryl Roberts What Happened: This triangle took place during the midst of Rick Rude's "Rude Awakening" phase where he would pick out a random girl from the crowd to kiss after his matches. On this fateful occasion Rude happened to point out Cheryl Roberts - real-life wife of Jake Roberts - but when she denied him the pleasure he mic'd up and abused the Snake's wife. Not taking too kindly to his wife being berated, Jake came out to beat down on the Ravishing One leading to one of the hottest feuds of 1988. Rude would even don the infamous pair of tights with Mrs Roberts face on his crotch as he gyrated like Big E after a booty slapping. Jake Roberts was one of the most despised heels in WWE history throughout his whole career, but not in this battle of the mustaches as he defended the honour of his wife and gave his rival a rude awakening of his own. Who Lost Out: Rick Rude started and ended this feud on the wrong end of the stick. Having been chased out of the arena in the aforementioned Rude Awakening segment, he also lost to The Snake nearly every time they faced as Mr and Mrs Roberts came out on top.
