Who's Involved: John Cena, Eve Torres and Zack Ryder What Happened: One of the biggest career destroying angles in WWE history, Zack Ryder was thrown under the bus in a series of talent burying booking decisions designed purely to shut the fan favorite down. Ryder's biggest issue? Being friends with the big dog, John Cena. Cena was in the midst of a particularly dull feud with Kane after the Big Red Machine's triumphant return to his masked persona. Being pulled into the story line through association, Kane attacked the mid card sensation as a way of getting to big match John as he knew they were close, leaving the Z man in a wheelchair and neck brace. If being man handled, rolled around in a wheelchair and humiliated on the mic for weeks wasn't enough for Ryder's career, his girlfriend Eve Torres was brought into it. In another attempt to break Cena's resolve, Kane attempted to kidnap Eve in the back of an ambulance before Cena made the save and rescued the damsel in distress. Torres would reward the Cenation leader with a lip lock for the ages leading to one of the most iconic images of the PG era. Ryder would wheel himself over to the scene at the opportune time with flowers and chocolates in hand for his girl, only to see the kiss taking place and giving the camera his best 'devastated lover' look. Who Lost Out: Ryder obviously. After he saw his lover with another man he would still be wheeled off the stage later in the same night and Eve would say she never actually loved him. He was buried throughout the entire angle and made to look like an absolute chump. He would never get near another championship or main event feud again.
