15 Embarrassing Stephanie McMahon Moments

10. Bryan's Leap Of Faith

WWE.comWWE.comWrestleMania 30 was built around Daniel Bryan's journey back to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. After months of being screwed over, held down and discredited by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, he had the opportunity to exorcise his demons and regain the title he never should have lost. All he had to do was defeat the COO, overcome what was sure to be interference from his wife and then beat both Randy Orton and Batista later in the night to claim his prize. Sounds simple, right? Not so much. Bryan defeated Triple H in a major upset to kick off the show. Stephanie watched from ringside as Bryan upset her husband in a Match of the Year candidate, then confronted the man she referred to as a "solid B+". She slapped Bryan, leaving him prone to an attack from Triple H. The Game ravaged Bryan's already injured shoulder and left him less-than 100-percent heading into his title match in the night's main event. Injured, beaten down but not broken, Bryan took the fight to Orton and Batista in an attempt to achieve his goal and live his dream once more. Then Stephanie and Triple H, along with crooked official Scott Armstrong, appeared at ringside. They tried to screw Bryan out of the title again but the Aberdeen native proved his resiliency. Then, he dove through the ropes, taking out The Authority to a huge pop. 75,000 fans applauded the display of defiance from Bryan. He refused to watch his latest, and perhaps last, title shot be thwarted by wrestling's most powerful couple. The crowd reaction for the spot likely would not have been as strong as it was were it not for Stephanie getting caught up in it. Her bump was actually accidental. She was to be shoved out of the way by Armstrong but got tangled up, injured her ankle and hit the mat hard. The illusion that Bryan was responsible for it, however, elicited a huge pop and significantly enhanced the moment. A better heel than her husband, Stephanie had been such a vocal detractor of Bryan's that to see her get her comeuppance on the biggest stage in the sport, moments before Bryan regained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, was definitely gratifying.
