Although Hulk Hogan was already WWF Champion going into the first WrestleMania, it was that event that would forever solidify his star power. Vince McMahon has never been shy about admitting that in order for the event to succeed he needed to have somebody headline that could be a major draw. Paired with the incomparable Mr. T, and scheduled to take on the heinous Roddy Piper and his cohort Paul Orndorff, Hogan proved himself to be that draw, and the rest is history.
