If you got interested in wrestling too late to enjoy Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan's work, make sure to check out his work on WWE Network or YouTube. He's a legend of the business for a reason.

Heenan has an incredible sharp wit, married with intelligence and an innate understanding on how to make the audience react exactly how he wanted. Gifted as a manager, Heenan also excelled as a commentator; his partnership with Gorilla Monsoon is rivalled only by the work of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. The duo were undoubtedly fond of each other and their chemistry was electric.

To those uninitiated with Heenan, a good place to start would be to watch his wonderful WWE Hall of Fame acceptance speech from 2004. While his distinctive voice sounded unrecognisable after his battles with cancer, his mind was as keen as ever and his jokes as pointed and funny as you'd hope. It's both heartfelt and hysterical.
