Edge and Christian's long friendship away from the wrestling business meant they were always going to have great chemistry, and it played into making them a great comedy duo.
After a stint with Gangrel to form The Brood, the pair stepped out on their own, redefining themselves a pair of surfer dudes with quippy catchphrases and flamboyant outfits. Through great matches and some great promo work, they really got over despite their heelish antics.
They might have berated your favourite sports team or home town with their Five Second Pose™ but you couldn't help but laugh. Their alliance with Kurt Angle only added to the awesomeness.
The team put on great backstage segments by being allowed to tap into what made them laugh and what entertained them growing up together. Allowing people to be themselves on screen really does work.
Both Edge and Christian were funny in their own right, but they were definitely at their best together.
