15 Great Heel Versus Heel Matches You Must See

15. Brock Lesnar vs. Test (King Of The Ring, 2002)

It may seem like a tragic mismatch in hindsight, but Test was the first real challenge for Lesnar in WWE. The future Beast Incarnate had made his initial impressions by absolutely trucking guys like Spike Dudley and Maven, and Test was another big, young heel that could theoretically halt his momentum. The announce team tried to sell this as a clash between two irresistible forces, and JR said the phrase "these two young bulls" approximately 568 times during this ten minute match. Test had a strong showing here, and he was able to keep moving and avoiding Lesnar's bigger bombs. All of his own offense seemed to bounce off Lesnar, though, and the rookie wouldn't stop coming. Lesnar kicked out of both of Test's finishers and proved he could manhandle giants as if they were cruiserweights. The match ended following an emphatic F-5, and afterward, one got the impression that while Test was certainly a big, powerful pro wrestler, Brock Lesnar was BROCK LESNAR, an immortal viking prince Paul Heyman found frozen in a block of ice.
