14. The Giant vs. Ric Flair (1995)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjoVmZ7Egdo 1995 WCW was a weird place, where Hulk Hogan was booked to be so absolutely unbeatable that a super alliance of heels had to be assembled to stand a chance against his all-powerful orange glow. The Dungeon of Doom and the Four Horsemen teamed up to form the Alliance to End Hulkamania, but naturally they were easily defeated. When the Alliance broke down, Flair defeated Randy Savage to win the world title, somehow coffee got thrown on the Giant, and we got this match. Now, Ric Flair should have had no reasonable expectation of hurting the Giant, but the Nature Boy was extremely confident throughout his pre-match strutting, right up until the point that he tried to land a shoulder-block and fell down instead. Most of this match is Ric Flair screaming in terror as Giant ragdolls him around. In fact, Giant was so green here that this match was almost exactly like Ric Flair wrestling a bear. That's not an insult; an actual wild animal mauling the Nature Boy would garner at least 3 stars (3 and a half if he bladed). Flair was eventually able to land a low blow and then clock Giant with brass knuckles.Unfortunately, it took him quite a while to fold Giant's meaty thighs into a Figure Four, and the big guy eventually just sat up and choke-slammed him to win the WCW title. Even though Giant was still a heel at this point, the crowd erupted, because someone finally dealt Flair the crushing, decisive loss he had always seemed to avoid.
