15 Great Wrestlers Who Had Very Brief WWE Careers
1. Christopher Daniels
The Fallen Angel. The Almighty. Curry Man... Whatever you want to call Christopher Daniels, there is no denying that he is an amazing wrestler. He is now well into his 40s but continues to be as good as ever, primarily competing for ROH.
It should come as no surprise that his lengthy career, which began way back in 1993, has seen him work with the WWE. In 1998 he signed a WWE developmental deal and was largely used as a jobber on shows like Shotgun Saturday Night and Sunday Night Heat.
Daniels only prominent role for the WWE was as a lowly Conquistador in the Hardy Boys 2000 feud with Edge and Christian. He also appeared in a Chef Boyardee commercial with The Hardys in 2001. Sadly he was never given any onscreen acknowledgment in this time, nor was he allowed to perform his spectacular 'Best Moonsault Ever.'
By 2001, Daniels had begun working on the independent circuit and wisely chose to cut his ties with the WWE. From there he went on to become one of the finest wrestlers of the 21st century working numerous amazing matches with AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and The Young Bucks to name but a few.
Daniels is truly an exceptional talent, who was sitting right under the WWE's nose. Hopefully, they will recognise his work at some point in the future. Dare we say Hall of Fame?
