14. James Storm

'Sorry about your damn luck' is what we would be saying to James Storm if he hadn't chosen to leave WWE of his own accord. 'The Cowboy' is a stalwart of TNA having been there since its very beginning in 2002.

Storm possesses a great mind for the business, channeling tangible psychological elements into his various angles and feuds. He is also an accomplished tag team wrestler having won gold as a part of America's Most Wanted and Beer Money, two of the finest teams that TNA has ever produced.

So, when his contract expired in June 2015 and he showed up in NXT just months later fans were gagging to see what Storm would bring to WWE's developmental division. The veteran had two matches on television and that was it. Huh?

Unlike other TNA alumni like Samoa Joe, Robert Roode, Austin Aries and Eric Young, Storm opted to turn down WWE and returned to the Florida-based promotion. He's still doing interesting things in TNA but we would have loved to see him take on the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura or potentially reform Beer Money with Roode.

Given the unpredictable future of TNA there is still a chance that Storm could return to NXT but time is ticking for the 39-year-old.
