13. Bad News Turns On The Hitman And Wins Battle Royal - WrestleMania IV
The opening match of Wrestlemania IV provided fans with one of the greatest 'heel' moments in Wrestlemania history. The 20 man battle royal kicked off the 4 hour spectacular in Atlantic City and Bad News Brown and Bret 'The Hitman' Hart ran roughshod over the competition. Friends from their Calgary Stampede Wrestling days (Bad News Brown was then known as Bad News Allen and was trained by the Hart family) they formed an alliance early and between the two of them eliminated Jim Powers, Paul Roma, Ken Patera and favourite the Junkyard Dog. The heels then celebrated in the ring as if they were both winners only for Brown to hit Hart with a 'Ghetto Blaster' kick incapacitating Hart long enough for Brown to throw him over the top rope and win the match. As Brown was presented with his trophy a furious 'Hitman' re-entered the ring attacking bad news and destroying the trophy Brown had just won. This moment helped establish Bad News Brown as a true loner heel who could fend for himself and set up a face turn for the Hart Foundation with the first step being Bret Hart destroying Bad News' trophy.
