15 Highly Underrated WWE WrestleMania Matches

2. Rey Mysterio Vs. Cody Rhodes (WrestleMania 27)

After playing the ineffective Robin or Fallout Boy to Randy Orton for so long, Rhodes gained minor traction as an urbane narcissist. Trumping that one-dimensional character was his turn as an emotionally-scarred sociopath, a PG version of Patrick Bateman. Rhodes and his allegedly-deformed face would meet his attacker, Mysterio, at WrestleMania. This qualifies as Rhodes' breakout performance, wrestling out from under the shadows of both Orton and the depushed Ted Dibiase. When Rhodes holds Mysterio aloft for a delayed superplex (as in, holding him up on the middle rope), the fans appreciate his moveset upgrade. Rhodes always had it in him to be both a reliable worker and an uninhibited character performer, and both virtues are on display here.
