15 Highly Underrated WWE WrestleMania Matches

11. Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. Savio Vega (WrestleMania 12)

Austin's WrestleMania debut took place at time where Ted Dibiase did all of the talking for him, rendering Austin a muted killer with none of his eventual oomph. Vega himself has always been an under-appreciated wrestler, ably brawling with the best, as he would show with Austin during their Caribbean Strap Match two months later. For now, Austin and Vega were playing to Austin's older style of vile brawling mixed with technical proficiency, even if they struggled to get the limp Anaheim crowd into much of it. The match also sadly takes a backseat to the yuk-yuk hijinks of Roddy Piper chasing Goldust down the Los Angeles freeway, which is insulting to two skilled workers working their collective first WrestleMania match. Rest assured, that wouldn't happen to Austin again.
