“It don’t get no bigger than this, folks” was a Jim Ross call so simplistic but so iconic that WWE used it on WrestleMania video packages for years. Over a decade, even - Ross nailed the line at WrestleMania XIV and Vince McMahon was still trying and failing to replace him ten years later.

When it’s true, you’re in the presence of the very best action pro wrestling has to follow. Roman Reigns Vs Cody Reigns is it. It doesn’t get no bigger than this.

A match massive enough to - at time of writing - have sold all but 400+ tickets inside a stadium, this is Hogan/Andre, Hogan/Warrior, Rock/Hogan and Cena/Rock but with the work rate. The result and booking of that result could have an impact on a generational scale.

Will fans learn to trust WWE’s process and have evidence for it for the first time in nearly two decades? Or will WWE WWE it, and clip the wings of a money-drawing babyface just to see a Champion hit an arbitrary number of days on top and do the match again in the summer?

The former. They will do the former and it’s going to be awesome.

Or Vince McMahon could sell up for $ 9 billion to the Saudi Arabia PIF in April and none of this will even matter in six months. But it was amazing - absolutely amazing - to remember how it was supposed to feel once again.

Whether this is the last story, or just the end of this one, it’s time for Cody to finish it.

Winner - Cody Rhodes
