15 Interpromotional WWE Dream Matches We Need To See In 2016

5. Vaudevillains (NXT) Vs. Time Splitters (NJPW)

The premier time travel-themed teams of NXT and NJPW meet in perhaps the biggest clash of styles on this list. The Vaudevillains are strictly old-school, even radically so, while the Time Splitters work a much more modern, faster-paced style. English and Gotch seek to dominate their opponents with brawling and grappling, while Shelley and Kushida favor rapid-fire, high-risk offense. Aiden English and Simon Gotch are among the longest-tenured teams in WWE developmental, but they've only been teaming for a scant 18 months or so. They do have remarkable chemistry, but so do the Time Splitters, with just about double the experience as a team. However, they're also used to dealing with junior heavyweight opponents, since NJPW's tag scene features weight classes; Gotch and English have had to deal with opponents as diverse as Kalisto and Colin Cassady. What Should Happen: A double DQ when both teams are attacked by CMLL's Barbáro Cavernario.
