Fans of David Cronenberg's Rabid will no doubt already know that there are a number of his films being remade at the moment (or at least being considered) as well as an ongoing conversation about a remake of The Fly that's rumbled on for decades now.

One of the most exciting projects comes courtesy of The Soska Sisters, who have previously made two movies for WWE Studios and have something of a reputation for making violent, visceral horrors. That positions them as ideal candidates to remake a Cronenberg zombie film about a woman who is mutated by a medical proceedure that leaves her needing to feed on human blood.

None other than CM Punk is on the cast as one of Rose's victims (and from the officially released material, he appears to be happy about it).
