15 Match Star Ratings For AEW All Out 2022

2. The House Of Black Vs. Sting, Darby Allin And Miro

Jon Moxley CM Punk
AEW

Elements of the semi-main were fantastic, but it was slightly anticlimactic and a notch below both the trios standard and the Sting party match.

Miro refusing to tag in Darby and Sting, and instead electing to take on the entire heel unit alone, was a great storytelling choice. It was faithful to the continuity of his association with Darby and framed him as a complete badass. The interactions between Darby and Buddy Matthews were excellent, and while Sting shouldn't be expected to perform a crazy aerial in every PPV match, that expectation has been established. The match didn't do quite enough elsewhere to get around a development that, sadly, is necessary.

He's still so great at the spaces between that his body language generated the loudest reaction of the match. He ate several strikes and continued to cinch in the scorpion death lock before Darby's unbeatable lopé allowed him to mist Malakai Black.

The visual wasn't enormously impressive, truthfully, and what scanned as Malakai Black's goodbye meant this was not remotely the Sting party jolt of electricity that worked to such awesome effect at Double Or Nothing.

Star Rating: ★★★¼
