15 Most Important WWE Raw Episodes In History

4. DX Invades Nitro - April 27th, 1998

DX's invasion of WCW Nitro is remembered as an all time classic Attitude Era moment, but is was so much more than just an entertainment spot. Undoubtedly, the episode was a difference maker in the Monday Night Raw. It popped Raw's biggest rating of 1998, and even more importantly, Nitro never really recovered from it. Sure, there were a few neck and neck ratings, and Nitro did clock a few victories with the likes of Hogan versus Goldberg, but on the whole, after the DX invasion, WWE Raw started winning the ratings war consistently. The two shows had been neck and neck before that angle, but with the DX invasion episode, Raw did a 5.5 and Nitro did a terrible 1.5. However, it is worth keeping in mind that Nitro was bumped that night to a later slot. WWF took advantage and ran an episode that was important in boosting their product while diminishing WCW.
