15 Most Important WWE Raw Episodes In History

5. Highest Rated Raw - May 10th, 1999

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phBVn-cUpCE While Mick Foley and The Rock may have been the highest rated segment ever, the highest rated show was in fact the May 10th, 1999 broadcast. Clocking in with a phenomenal 8.1 rating, the show closed with Steve Austin, The Rock and Vince McMahon vs. Shane McMahon, Triple H and The Undertaker. However, on the whole, the show lacked quality. Sure, the main event was star studded, but that was about it. One of the ironies about wrestling is that the WWF's most successful period was actually relatively light on credible action. It was more about sensationalised story telling on most occasions. Regardless of quality, the importance of the episode will live forever. Raw will never be that popular again, this was the high point. It was also a sign that WCW weren't even in the race any more. Vince's product was so far ahead.
