On September 27th 1999, Mankind did a 'This Is Your Life' segment for The Rock. It was a fairly amusing run down of Rock's youth, with Foley bringing out several names from Rocky's past. It ended up popping the highest rating in Raw segment history. For that fact alone, the episode deserves to go down in Raw history. It was a measurement of how much WWE had impacted itself upon pop culture, and it was also a sign to WCW that the war was basically over. It was a point of no return for Nitro, the segment's success was a firm nail in WCW's coffin. In truth, it wasn't even that entertaining. Backstage in gorilla, Vince McMahona actually went ballistic, because it ran over so much. But when the 8.4 rating came in, nobody was complaining.
