5. Randy Orton's 2006 Suspension Cost Him A WrestleMania Win
WWE.comRandy Orton has a bit of a track record with suspensions, despite his tender years. He's had two strikes for violations of the WWE's Wellness Policy, but before those, this unfortunate incident at WrestleMania 22 cost him the chance to win gold on the biggest stage of them all. Two days after WrestleMania 22, Orton was suspended for 60 days by the WWE for alleged "unprofessional conduct". That was believed to be what cost him the win at Mania, as he was reportedly booked to defeat both Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle and win the World Heavyweight Championship. But as we all know, Orton would be pinned by Rey, meaning he came up short. Still, he had a good couple of months to sit on the sidelines and dwell on it. Lesson learned in this instance, you would assume.
