3. Mr. T Had Doubts Before WrestleMania I

WWE Home VideoWWE Home VideoNaturally, WrestleMania I was where it all began (where else could it have begun?!). That match between Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, Roddy Piper and Bob Orton was one of the most iconic matches in wrestling history, but the odd one out (as in the non-professional wrestler) nearly didn't even show up. There were reports that Mr. T was close to changing his mind about taking part, largely due to the fact he had some pretty hefty confrontations with people at house shows. One of those was with David Schultz, and another was - of course - with Roddy Piper himself, who reportedly nearly made Mr. T pass out in a match before WrestleMania I. Given how Jimmy Snuka wasn't even booked to compete at the first ever Mania, you get the feeling that Snuka was left as backup for the possibility of Mr. T getting cold feet. But he didn't, and he would be back again to do it with his great foe.
