Tom Billington may have been an incredible in-ring performer, and one of the greatest British legends ever in Wrestling, but there is one undeniable fact about the former British Bulldog: He is an awful person and a completely unstable sociopath. Billington was known as one of the cruellest bullies of the backstage, drugging other wrestlers food, and physically harassing others. One particular backstage altercation with the Rougeau brothers led to the British Bulldogs leaving the WWE as the conflict was escalating to a point where people feared there would be no return. Rumours of his unstable sociopathy and generally vile nature are so rampant in fact, that one of the most popular urban legends about him is that he broke his nieces kneecaps for an insurance pay-out. While there is no real verification for this story, the fact that people believe he could have done it speaks volumes about where Billington stands as a person. Outside the ring, Dynamite took colossal doses of both recreation and performance enhancing drugs, to the point where his swollen frames physical instability, mirrored his mental instability. He famously stated on CNN that he didnt think his trick of putting a shotgun under his wifes chin constituted abuse, and that he had no regrets about anything he had done.
