15 Most Notoriously Unstable Wrestling Stars

3. Jake The Snake

It would be almost impossible to talk about Scott Hall without bringing up his recovery brother Jake €˜The Snake€™ Roberts. Roberts€™ life of instability, depression, and substance abuse mimics Hall€™s in a lot of ways. Both have been the subjects of documentaries (E60 and Beyond the Mat), both have painful demons in their past, both have lost their families due to addiction, both have had many false starts on the road to recovery, and today both have found solace and sobriety through their mutual friend DDP. The best examination of the tragedy of Roberts€™ life can be seen in Beyond the Mat, but in the same year the documentary was released, fans got to see another example of how unstable and how off the rails Jake had become at the Heroes of Wrestling show in Mississippi. During this show Roberts cut one of the most unintelligible promos of all time, as he was too drunk to speak properly. As if this wasn€™t enough of a red flag for things to come, the event producers still wanted him to work one of two main events, and so Roberts stumbled out to the ring in a state that can only be described as €˜paralytic€™. He groped a female fan on the way to the ring, mimicked masturbating his snake, and caused the PPV to end abruptly when he tried to nude up in the middle of the ring after being defeated. Needless to say, the entire event was a nightmare for all concerned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzwIo5O99vc
